uTorrent is an efficient and feature rich BitTorrent client for Windows sporting a very small footprint. It was designed to use as little cpu, memory and space as possible while offering all the functionality expected from advanced clients.

Features:
  • Multiple simultaneous downloads
  • Configurable bandwidth scheduler
  • Global and per-torrent speed limiting
  • Quick-resumes interrupted transfers
  • RSS Downloader
  • Trackerless support (Mainline DHT)

Changelog:
  • Change: use cached scrape stats if scrapes fail (up to 24 hours)
  • Change: "When µTorrent has reached the seeding goal" -> "When µTorrent Reaches Seeding Goal" in Queue preferences to make capitalization consistant
  • Change: Implement auto-resizing when header a divider in the addtorrent dialog treeview is double-clicked
  • Change: Rework accelerator keys of toplevel menus in the download list right-click menu so that there are no duplicate accelerator keys
  • Change: Use 48x48 icon
  • Fix: crashes with addtorrent dialog treeview with torrents with a very large number of files in the same folder (100+)
  • Fix: Invalid download amounts being reported to trackers for >4GB torrents
  • Fix: Determination of which peers are local on Windows 98 (and possibly other 95 varieties)

"1.7 stable is finally here, after months of development."

"The biggest changes were full Vista support and the removal of the 65,536 piece limit for torrents.
Also added was support for finding local peers (peers on the same LAN) and optionally not having any upload restrictions for them."

Does 1.7 feature the new uTorrent icon again? It seems some later builds reverted to the older one, I never understood why.

That looked like complete crap on XP. So there's a legit reason for some to complain about it.

GREAT!

Now people can play Tetris while they download. I think there could be more productive things to worry about than putting Tetris in it.

It's an easter egg.
(1 reply) #13 Nadeem97 on 13 Jul 2007 - 20:42
3353 fixes a bug in the local peer discovery for Windows 95 and 98.

But i wonder , who uses win 95 ?
#13.1 ThaCrip on 14 Jul 2007 - 23:31
exactly. cause i can bet damn near no one uses windows 95 and if they do they probably dont even know what torrents are in the first place.

cause there pc's would be extremely outdated for windows 95 pc's... hell even pc's made in 1997 or so even top of the line ones are probably barely good enough for internet nowadays.

omg they are too stupid ! 2 builds in 24 hours ! and they are tagged as finals !!!!!!!!!!
#15.1 Jexel on 14 Jul 2007 - 10:08
so just because something is dubbed as "final" it shouldn't have ANY bugs at all? You obviously never programmed anything before.

But something dubbed as final should have been well tested before its released so you dont release 2 other " Final " builds in 24 hours....

thats ridiculous, it never happened with any other software.

It's happened with plenty of software. That's nothing new at all.

put a cork in it man. stop complaining and grab the newer build. you should be grateful enough that updates are made so often.

First result on google when searching for "utorrent tetris" gives

Quote -
1. Select About in Help menu.
2. Press 'T' on the Keyboard.
Also if you click the uTorrent Logo in about, a music is played
