Man, as much as I loved Opera all the way from version 5 days up until they hit version 9, this was the BADDEST browser around, hands down. Just can't say that anymore, and in fact, no longer even have it on any of my 7 machines.

I think browsers are basically all the same, just depends on your personal flavor.

My personal flavors are K-meleon, SeaMonkey and IE6.

Errmm can your browser do:
- translate a page of any language to English?
- tells you your internet usage of your ISP without going to their website and login?
- has a built -in download manager that can pause, resume, etc?
- download a youtube video without you going to your browser temporary cache to get the file?
- have a weather info without going to your weather news forecast site?

Firefox extensions can do all of those and many more else.

Firefox doesn't, it caches, if you need the memory for other things, the cache gets smaller.

errmm can your browser not have a user base of people who don't see it as their life's mission to improve everyone Else's life by telling them how great this firefox thing is and if their browsers own inadequacies are pointed out can keep themselves from bringing all there friends and flaming the poster and calling them an "interweb n00b" for several dozen pages.

No, no it can't.

(not aimed at you just firefox zealots in general)

back on-topic im curious to why this is posted as it doesnt seem to be final

Man, you're way out of touch with reality. Opera and Firefox are heads and shoulders above anything else. If you think they are basically the same, then you're obviously not very familiar with the various browsers. I feel handicapped when I have to use a machine with IE...the others can do so much more....

I don't know. When I see firefox on top of running processes on my dual core while using 90MB of my 1GB DDR2 I don't feel satisfy.
