Best defragment software. I love it and better then Diskeeper or DiskPerfect or others plus it's free.

I like it for document partitions, old computers and I usually install it on "non geek user" computers because it is easy, fast and free (I personally find other free alternatives bad).

But...

...it seems to me (correct me if I'm wrong ) that it can hardly be compared to monsters like Diskeeper or Perfect Disk: contrary to these, ADD does not:
- work as a service (at least, there is no scheduling and background runs possibility)
- take care of the Windows layout.ini file which describes how to optimize some system files placement to increase (at least) boot performance
- optimize files placement with any particular algorithm
- defragment MFT
- consolidate free space

In my mind, ADD usefulness could be bad depending on what you expect from a defragmentation software (other than the Windows bundled one which, by the way, can be run through command line and thus through schedule tasks on Vista and I guess also on XP Pro).

Just my 2c.
