µTorrent is an efficient and feature rich BitTorrent client for Windows sporting a very small footprint. It was designed to use as little cpu, memory and space as possible while offering all the functionality expected from advanced clients. Most of the features present in other BitTorrent clients are present in µTorrent, including bandwidth prioritization, scheduling, RSS auto-downloading and Mainline DHT (compatible with BitComet). Additionally, µTorrent supports the Protocol Encryption joint specification (compatible with Azureus 2.4.0.0 and above, BitComet 0.63 and above) and peer exchange. µTorrent was written with efficiency in mind. Unlike many torrent clients, it does not hog valuable system resources - typically using less than 6MB of memory, allowing you to use the computer as if it weren't there at all. Additionally, the program itself is contained within a single executable less than 220 KB in size.
Features:
* Multiple simultaneous downloads
* Configurable bandwidth scheduler
* Global and per-torrent speed limiting
* Quick-resumes interrupted transfers
* RSS Downloader
* Trackerless support (Mainline DHT)

Nevertheless, at least at one big tracker that I use, the problem still remains with all the 1.7.xx versions. I checked it right now on their forums, and they say that they keep it banned because of that:
Anyway, I hope that this version fixes the problem - I had to turn to Azureus because of that. And despite the fact that Azureus is a great client as well, I prefer μtorrent, because I think it is more user friendly and it definitely consumes less RAM.

It was already fixed. This version and any future versions will not change this so I guess that tracker will never allow these builds of utorrent sadly. Your tracker admins are just being overly paranoid...
--- 2007-09-06: Version 1.7.4 (build 4482)
-Fix: DHT crash when Mainline clients were present

At least we know that they care about their bugs
If they were actually collecting data about who is downloading what, you would have heard about a lot more people getting busting by now.
That was all created by people who are way too paranoid. There's an easy fix for that though. Don't download anything that's illegal.
