Stardock DeskScapes allows users of Windows Vista Ultimate to have dynamic, animated wallpaper. It works as an extension to the Windows DreamScene Ultimate Extra that is available to all users of Windows Vista Ultimate. DeskScapes supports the new .Dream format. By default, Windows DreamScene supports MPEG and WMV videos as their content. The .Dream format supports adding triggers, author info, and dynamic content. Now users know if a given file has been designed to be an animated wallpaper -- if it uses the .Dream format, it's an animated wallpaper!

Check out some awesome Dreams at http://dream.wincustomize.com

Features:

* Extends Windows DreamScene to support dynamic animated wallpaper
* Adds support for the new .Dream format -- know a file has been designed to be an animated wallpaper!
* Supports event-based triggers for changing animated wallpapers
* Free for Windows Ultimate users!

System Requirements:

* Windows Vista Ultimate Edition

DeskScapes 1.02 also comes with a new Copper dream that creates a copper pool of ripples on your desktop.

Dynamic, animated wallpaper? Uhm, what about Vital Desktop and similar products (I guess another one is called Dream-something) for lower Windows versions?

You know... this isn't too bad.
In fact I'm going to say... Good job.
At least we're getting some workable additions to the 'Ultimate' version.

what about other vista versions??

That's Microsoft's call. They have DreamScene as a Vista Ultimate Extra only right now. And since they don't have any other Ultimate Extras that are worth a damn, I can't see them changing that anytime soon.
