The Creative X-Fi Vista 2.15.000.4 drivers have been released. They include new version of Audigy wdm drivers too, but unfortunately - the setup didn't recognize Audigy-series cards, and Audio Console didn't work either. Now here's the real deal - I've modified the setup files so it WILL recognize Audigy cards, install the newest 2.15.000.4 drivers properly, and also included the Audio Console which is compatible with Audigy.

Changelog:
  • Fixes:
    • Resolves an issue for Windows Vista 64-bit systems with 4 GB RAM
    • Resolves loud speaker noise when restarting your computer
    • Resolves an issue that causes OpenAL games not to respond

#3 PrEzi on 07 Nov 2007 - 16:21

This is not a biggie really ! I only modded the setup files and put older Audio Console which was compatible with Audigy cards...
The drivers for audigy are bundled with the orginal pack too, but they won't install with setup.
Give me feedback please how they work and if they are better/worse than the 2.15.0003/2 drivers...

so this will make my audigy 2ZS fully work under Vista?
(1 reply) #12 PrEzi on 08 Nov 2007 - 00:17
Well, it will work, like 5.1, cmss, eax is working thru alchemy (not free, costs 10 bucks).
If you search for audigy driver cd for vista you'll find it.
After you install those aditional appz it's nearly the same functionality as in xp.

so I need to buy this Alchemy to get 5.1 sound in this driver?
#13 PrEzi on 08 Nov 2007 - 01:49
No.
Alchemy is ONLY for EAX in games.
all other things work a-OK.
