Ventrilo is the next evolutionary step of Voice over IP (VoIP) group communications software. I know right. Its been in development since at least 2002 if not sooner I think. Bleh.
This new version is OK, just not enough "new" stuff as I would have hoped. The features he added are nice, don't get me wrong, and the program still works just like it always has - but I expected a new UI at this point (doesn't have to be all shiny and sparkly you know, just something new) along with some better features than what is offered. But overall, Vent is still #1!
I heard there were issues with the sound quality. Apparently, if you say "bottle of beer" it comes out as "gottle of gear"....
