Anyone could have easily gotten this news off Comodo's forums (or through using the firewall itself)...

I don't see why you're complaining. Besides, this news post appears to have been posted before your post.

Try as I might, I just cannot seem to understand the mentality of people who complain about no being credited for passing on news that is freely available to all. Am I alone?

Holy crap, don't use advanced protection or it will seriously bug you every 5 seconds about something.
#6.1 Vettetech on 23 Nov 2007 - 01:39
Make sure you put it on Training Safe mode. It will learn most apps on its own. only bugged me about games. Any firewall it a pain at first till it learns everything.

defense+ security is a real pain because its always slowing down my fast computer...i heard vista firewall controller is good but i decided to stick with comodo because its just gotten some better ratings. lol.
i like how it learns so quickly..

Slowing down?.................what. this has the smallest foot print around. Try ZA then you will see slow downs.

I replaced Outpost with this, after using Sygate for years, and Zone Alarm originally. So far it has been a major improvement. No complaints, except a minor one; the GUI could be made a little bit more intuitive. There are multiple locations for settings and for displaying connections, running apps, etc. They really need to organize that so info is in one tab and settings in another.

#10.1 Vettetech on 25 Nov 2007 - 15:40

#11 devnulllore on 25 Nov 2007 - 17:22
Well it's back to ZA Free and Comodo is off my list.

After booting my PC this morning ever time I tried to run a program I got "This program is not a valid Win32 application" or something like that. It would not even let me shut down or restart my PC! After pressing reset and uninstalling Comodo in safe mode everything was back to normal.

For now I will stick with ZA Free. At least it doesn't random,y stick it's middle finger up at me.

Never had any problems so far. You seem to be the only one.

Down loaded and tested a couple of leak tests and this failed. ZAAS passed all tests. Back to ZAAS which I have for free for one year.
