Thanks for the person asking if its free or not, the description doesn't say if it is or not and I hate downloading something direct and finding it out later. I'll try truecrypt Thanks

Truecrypt is fantastic. Highly recommended. Just a tip, read the docs. It's one of those progs where you need to learn what you're doing, so you can set it up properly.

Anyone saying such a thing about their software has obviously created a backdoor. Not a good sign at all.

Folder Castle has no any backdoor! Recovering password is available for registered users only and based on unique registration key.

If someone else can gain your password then your files aren't really secure.

The possibility to read the password set by you is not available. But the possibility to request from MagneticSoft a special Master Password related to the your registration key is available. This Master Password is unique for every registered user. You can use it to launch Folder Castle Control Center and set the new password.

[sarcasm] And I'm sure if the Feds needed access to your files MagneticSoft would refuse to give it to them [/sarcasm]

My point is this, with something like truecrypt, you and only you can unlock your protected files. With Folder Castle someone else holds the master keys and there are too many ways people can get that from them.

I'm curious about how one actually hides warez. After all, if someone has something installed, there isn't really a way to hide it while still making it accessible.

Uh, doesn't XP come with this ability built in? Just put a password on your account and make your files private. No $34.95 payment required.
