Nvidia has released Vista & XP drivers for the Geforce 6, 7 & 8 series. This is not a WHQL release, is in beta form and available in 32bit and 64bit flavours. International versions are available for both Vista and XP. The desktop drivers with modified .inf to my knowledge don't include the powermizer control panels... the modified laptop drivers from other manufactures can work across other brands, but some manufactures include special key functions that require special interactions with the drivers... it would be nice for nvidia to put together regular releases of a unified laptop driver.

It would be nice, but it's not reasonable to demand that. Moreover, people complain enough (unfairly in my opinion) about their regular Forceware drivers, so let's not bog that development team down anymore.
Nvidia's not hurting for money... they have so many side projects, their animation rendering application, the hardware acceleration codec, they can afford to hire a few more driver programmers I think. There is a difference between bogged down and not releasing an official laptop GO driver for 12 months.

Bring back the classic control panel nVidia, I am tierd of hacking your drivers to get the functionality I need.
What I don't like is their bloated control panel that was forced on us. I can't even control antialiasing from the tray icon anymore. Gamers want performance; something you don't get from large programs needed to change simple settings, and extra services running in memory constantly.
No problems here.
