Driver Magician Lite is freeware, it identifies all the hardware in the system, extracts their associated drivers from the hard disk and backs them up to a location of your choice. Then when you format and reinstall/upgrade your operating system, you can restore all the "saved" drivers just as if you had the original driver diskettes in your hands. Driver Magician Lite works with all versions of Windows 98/SE/ME/2000/XP/2003/Vista/x64.

So backing up drivers with no way to restore them? Lame.
edit: Yup just tried it out. All it does is toss each set of drivers into a folder. There is no way to restore the drivers from within the app.

It is called going into Device Manager and updating the driver with the backed up source.
I find it sad how some people depend so heavily on third-party functionality that they seem to forget about that which Windows provides.
Mind you, that statement does not apply to garbage like Internet Explorer or the default Notepad.
I was just hoping that they'd at least allow you to backup and restore in the free version since they took out one of the main draws of these apps = scanning and updating drivers.
