Although I don't use this browser anymore, whether in Windows or Linux, I WOULD definitely still recommend it to ANYONE, and I do still install it on other people's machines after asking them if they'd like to try something different, and more secure. Wouldn't and don't do that with Firefox though!!

I absolutely totally LOVE the look and performance of Opera, but I don't use it.

Why?

Because Opera doesn't have a built in Super-Drag-and-go function (where you click, drag and let go of a link to open it in a new tab), nor any add-in or extension that will do it either.

I've been so used to using Super-drag-and-go for years and years in Maxthon (during the IE6 days), then Firefox, then IE7 with the IE7pro add-in, and now I'm back to Firefox 2 again.

It's so ingrained in my browsing habits that I just can't stand not having that functionality.

If there is a way to do this in Opera, please let me know, and I'll be ditching Firefox for good.

Opera has the GestureDown that does this if gestures are enabled. Just right-click on a link and drag it down and it opens in a new page/tab. GestureDown followed by GestureUp opens the link in a background page/tab.
