Can we get some links to the download page, release notes, etc as well as just the download links please.

- The download links aren't directly linked to the file.
- Release notes are posted in the original thread.

All the information you require simply requires you to click one of the links above, then press "Show Details" for the one you require...it's really that simple

Thats it.

Anyone got any non-Creative suggestions? I'm totally open to trying something new.

Here's something to you: Switching modes (Entertainment/Gaming/Audio Creation) is now on the fly (no need to restart any application, and if any song is playing in any media player, it wont stop, it'll only pause for like 1/4 sec).

What are the differences with the modes, I just use one and it all works fine...

That's actually very welcomed..thanks for pointing it out.

Gaming vs. Entertainment sound very different. The main thing is that is changes where the voices come from I think.

Use at your own risk, it's just an old driver with new # and release date. See:

When you do the auto update, it says that I already have the latest...so the driver isn't new to Win XP (32 bit)
#4.1 OPaul on 17 Mar 2008 - 03:30
They show up for me on XP.

For whatever reason, I'm getting the crackle/pop thing with these drivers...didn't get that with the Nov 07 drivers so Ive switched back.

XP, X-Fi XtremeGamer. Had 2.14.0001 beta. Ran the download and it updated to 2.15.0006 just fine. Solid release. Just have to remove a couple useless things from registry run section.

I hope this fixes their Vista x64 S/PDIF digital IO problem. I can't believe that I've had to use my HTPC's onboard sound to get S/PDIF out!

will this driver work with my PCI-E X-Fi?????
#8.1 pjak on 18 Mar 2008 - 01:12
no, because that X-Fi is software-based - this driver is for the hardware-based cards (i.e. NOT XtremeAudio).

It's great to see the first WHQL drivers for Creative X-Fi in Windows Vista... now that the audio system in Vista is fully functional (thanks to SP1) - Creative just can't hold back...

Do I need ALchemy again?

I was excited when I read the release notes, but it was all a lie. Still terrible crackling on my system, Vista SP1 x64, 4gb of ram, and nForce4 SLI X16 intel chipset.

Great bit of software, the guys at Computer Juice recommended it.
