DAEMON Tools is an advanced application for multiprotection emulation. It is further development of Generic Safedisc emulator and incorporates all its features. This program allows running Backup Copies of SafeDisc (C-Dilla), Securom, Laserlock, CDCOPS, StarForce and Protect CD (and many others) protected games. Also included is a Virtual DVDROM drive (Generic DVD-ROM) enabling you to use your CD images as if they were already burned to CD! DAEMON Tools works under Windows9x/ME/NT/2000/XP with all types of CD/DVDROM drives (IDE/SCSI) and supports nearly any CD protection.

NOTE: The Daemon tools developers have included an optional 'adware' based support system with this release. Be sure to read all screens carefully when installing.

What's New:
  • SPTD 1.56;
  • Languages updates;
  • Setup changes.
Bugs fixed:
  • SCSI adapter resources problem during installation;
  • Some network images mounting problem;
  • Lockup problem when comparing files on 2 virtual drives;
  • Some minor GUI bugs.

Perhaps you could read the screen instead of blindly clicking buttons.

DaemonTools 4.xx doesn't install any "spyware" on my system.

exactly! ... he just seen the word "adware" and assumed it was crap instead of reading about it... cause (as you already know) the program does NOT install any adware/spyware on your system if you follow the installation process carefully and dont just click the 'next' button a whole bunch of times lol

DAEMON Tools contains Adware. However it's optional, just uncheck the box when installing.

By the way, much people says "oh noes, ADWARE!!!", in fact much people seems that don't know what is Adware... actually adware is pub, which is included in the most of websites, including Neowin (Adware = Ads, Orly?).

That's what happen because people NEVER read the license agreement when installing software.

Well, Neowin isn't installing adware on my computer. If it did, I wouldn't be here writing this.

I hate all forms of advertisements, but I do agree that people just quickly install things and then complain when a toolbar or something is installed.

Off course Neowin isn't installing Adware on your computer! Actually i don't know ant site that installs adware on a user computer, unless we talk about malicious sites. But as said before the Adware is optional, like the one which comes with Messenger Plus! Live.

And again... Adware/Ads = Publicity

You need YASU. (http://www.disc-tools.com/download/yasu) It hides the drive from SecuROM and Safedisc.
