A-Patch is a lightweight program designed to enhance your Windows Live Messenger experience. It does this by giving you a multitude of options, over 80, which allow you to customize the look and feel of Windows Live Messenger, even change some functions.
Some of the options include the ability to remove the big advertisement located on the contact list. Another option would be to disable the nudge delay timer, allowing you to send consecutive nudges without having to wait a few seconds in between. Other useful options include removing buttons such as "Activities", "Windows Live Today", and dozens of others buttons, multi-msn, show idle status of other users, and so on.

I get your point, but from what I remember about the messages in the patch installer I didn't consider it being "pushed on you" as such, merely a small advertisement for a religion wrongly labelled (for the most part, of course) as being extremist etc. I consider someone stopping me in the street pushing it on me; a small message or two in an installer which you can ignore, I consider that the coder's right to put it into something he's put a lot of work into.
But, of course, that's just my opinion (and I'm not bitching, just expressing my views... I should really start a blog so I don't produce massive comments all the time
i have no problem with islam or religion in general
but i would say, keep it to yourself. especially in a place like the internet
