- This is definately one of the better launchers ('Run' replacements) around. Been using Executor for more than an year now after extensively trying out all the other launchers out there. There are plenty of ways you can customize it, regardless of whether you're on a old or a newer PC (I was using this on my 550 Mhz K6-2!). If you think the settings screen has too many options, wait till you find out about the hidden settings file!
The best thing I like about though, is the support. The author almost always replies to you, and you get to place your suggestions directly. I'm glad to say that many of my suggestions have been incorporated into the program.
What I *really* like about this version is that the ability to add custom scan paths for indexing/scanning has finally been implemented! This puts Executor on-par and above many other launchers, in terms of features. Other much needed feature implemented are Auto-completion in drop-down, auto-resize list height, launching apps by using the currently selected text as a parameter, dead-keywords remover, and much more! Long standing bugs like unwanted hiding/popuping up of the Executor window have been fixed too.
I'm still waiting though, for the day I can perform file-manager actions within Executor itself - like the ability to cut/copy/paste files and folders
PS: You *can* perform explorer operations using the context menu (apps key/right click), but you can't do it with Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V
