The link for the Windows download has an extra character in it! This is the correct one http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firef...&lang=en-US

Hmmm, looks like the download links got modified through the submission form. Just have to use the RC1 main page to get to the links.

FF3 broke my ajax

It worked in FF1 and 2.....

Now I've to version-target my javascript, just like IE....

not my fault, it broke prototype.js
I've to use a cheap hack to get the scripts working again.

What is the planned release date for FF3? I can't seem to find an updated roadmap on their site.
#8.1 spr33 on 17 May 2008 - 11:56
Sometime in June last time I heard.
#9 g0dlike on 17 May 2008 - 06:44
g0d, it's so fast on my computer, even when compared to Firefox2.
It feels so snappy...
Great browser. Kudos Mozilla!

I still get a lot of freezes with the nightlies. And we're at RC stage already. Sigh, Mozilla.

it never crashed for me,(beta4,5 & RC) but that's probably bcos i don't use incompatible add-ons/plugins

GREAT! I've been using the betas since they started flowing and not a single crash so far.
#11.1 ThaCrip on 17 May 2008 - 16:05
same here, i started using since beta 3 and so far so good.

so for me it's been beta 3 then 4 then 5 and now RC1
#11.2 dodialog on 18 May 2008 - 14:23
its fast, its pretty AND tho I have a flaky XP installation - not a single crash thru last few betas or this RC1 - but add-on availability is woeful and why oh why do tabs open at the end of the queue??
#12 Spitfire_x86 on 17 May 2008 - 14:42
Damn, why did they change the "awesome-bar" item colors?

Does anybody know how to change the "awesome-bar" colors to FF Beta colors?

Is it just me or did they remove the horizontal separator line that runs between the File/Edit/View at the top and the address bar?
#16.1 Flynsarmy on 19 May 2008 - 03:31
In both FF2 and FF3B5 i don't see any horizontal lines between File/Edit/View etc.
Maybe it was an addon you were using that is now incompatable?
#17 +Xerxes on 21 May 2008 - 03:54
FF3 is looking promising, too bad it doesn't work on my PC for some odd reason (crashes all the time)..guess I'm stuck with FF2, oh well
#18 Tempest on 22 May 2008 - 21:02
While I'm sure most at least consider this, I found I had to do a clean install of FF3 RC1 before I got really good results. For me, FF3 is faster and thus more enjoyable to use.

quote...

"The Mozilla Firefox 3 team decided Tuesday to make available a Release Candidate 2 that resolves some of the remaining showstopper bugs but they say it won't impact the ship date by much.

"During the team's weekly conference call today, Mozilla lead developer and phenomenologist Mike Beltzner said the RC2 code will freeze on Wednesday, May 28th, be sent out to build on May 29th and likely made available during the first week of June..."

just a update about when RC2 is coming
