A new version of the Firefox Web browser is scheduled for release Tuesday with improvements in security, speed and design. Many of the enhancements in Firefox 3 involve bookmarks. The new version lets Web surfers add keywords, or tags, to sort bookmarks by topic. A new "Places" feature lets users quickly access sites they recently bookmarked or tagged and pages they visit frequently but haven't bookmarked.
There's also a new star button for easily adding sites to your bookmark list - similar to what's already available on Microsoft Corp.'s Internet Explorer 7 browser.
Other new features include the ability to resume downloads midway if the connection is interrupted and an updated password manager that doesn't disrupt the log-in process.

that is very useful just for the free addons alone.
Not to mention the pro-active Firefox team fixing ANY security bug.
Had Firefox have the same Apple Safari Carpet Bombing Security Flaw,
I'm 100% confident the Firefox Team will address it ASAP.
Stick to Firefox guys, they care for us.

It's about damn time they told us. I mean they should have told us when they did the download pledge thing...
My only gripe with ff3 is the god damn drop down address bar, takes too much space. Other than that, it's not bad
Secondly the AwesomeBar is one of the best things to happen to browsers ever. It's why I don't use Safari.
I've heard rumor that IE8 beta 2 is scheduled for August of this year, so I'm guessing the final release won't be until the 4th quarter of this year or 1st quarter of next year.
Back to the original topic: I've been looking forward to the rendering performance upgrade of this FF release and I'll be very happy Tuesday when I can start using the new version.
i been using it since Firefox 3 BETA 3 (beta3/4/5/RC1/RC2/sorta RC3 which i did not get) and then finally the final version on June 17th
once the final comes out ill probably do a clean install of firefox for good measure

and/or use the nightly tester tools
Between Nightly Tester Tools and Mr Tech Local Install you should be able to keep all your old extensions and add new ones that supposedly aren't compatible.
It's been long known, that neowin is pro Firefox and anti-opera site (cause the news count on the main page regarding FF : Opera is like 10:1).
Will look forward for any news regarding FF !
