seriously who pays for something like this? I guess I could understand Nero, since it's popular, but there are freeware alternatives out there.

Try ImgBurn.

To pay for Nero, yeah. Nero is different, very different. It offers many more features than any other burning program available, free or shareware.

Im stuck at Nero 6 - the gui design is still nice and easy to use.. And there's not all the useless trash following with it..

Imgburn since it's probably one of the best applications out there and Nero 8 Lite is nice (something Nero should release)
