WinSCP is quite crappy when transferring a large file (4 gig) - slows down my computer (high CPU usage) and took me around 20 minutes on a LAN

I'd suggest to use BitVise Tunnelier to transfer large files across

I used to like WinSCP, but when I'm transferring files, it always disconnects my connection and it wouldn't auto reconnect.

Switched to Filezilla, then no problems.

It's funny you should say this. I suffered the same with FTP connections. I moved to the Firefox extention FireFTP and haven't had the problem since. I figured it was just me, I guess not then.

I just logged on to neowin to find an ftp client and what do I see at the top of the software page...must be destiny, so I'll give it a whirl.

I think it's a good client. I use it for ftp and scp (and never transfer 4Gb files )
