If you're looking for a free version of IPB, this is basically it. I'd recommend it to anyone.

No, phpBB is ass imo. MyBB is almost a complete clone of IPB.

Looks good, but when did "coded in PHP" become a feature? You rarely see any professional software maker brag about coding something in C++ or Python, for instance.

I think it's just making it obvious that it's written in PHP and not ASP. There's nothing wrong with that.
