As a long time Windows user you might have heard about registry. The registry is a special file in your hard disk that hold most of Windows settings data. Wish to improve your internet speed or display message at Windows logon? No problem, those tasks can easily be done by simply editing the registry value. Unfortunately registry is not a friendly place for most people. Changing a wrong value in the registry may cause an unpredictable problem to your Windows. This is why novice users should not edit registry value directly using a registry editor by them self.

lol when i see the word "Professional" in these tweak programs it just makes them sound rubbish, they just recycle the same old tweaks in each program.

Telling me... names with extra words in it like "super ultimate deluxe power edition with bonus" doesn't really do it for me.
I just want a name for the program, not the extra nonsense, straight and to the point. (Windows Tweaker V1.00 works!

It's not just the 'Professional' that puts me off - what sort of name is TweakNow WinSecret anyway?

I'm somewhat suspect about some of these Windows tweaking programs. They basically operate off the assumption that when Microsoft designed Windows, they made it in such a way to run less effectively than possible, and now you, poor user have to go and get saved by another benevolent software company that wants to rescue you and really make your computer work the way it's supposed to. Many of these programs target users who don't know that much about how computers work (remember all the 'memory freeing programs' that really made Windows run slower?).

And what's up with
