Microsoft has quietly rolled out a preview release of the Microsoft PC Advisor to select members of the Windows Feedback Program.

Microsoft PC Advisor will:

-Monitor your PC for problems and give you solutions in real-time to fix them.
-Keep your PC running smoothly with important software and driver updates
-Optimize your Windows experience with useful tips and tutorials
-Optimize your PC by monitoring and updating settings
To these points, the PC Advisor includes five main sections: PC Checkup, Toolbox, Offers, Tutorials, and Online Help.

If it wouldn't break in the first place...you wouldn't need to develop this app!

lol, if 3rd party software didn't leave rubbish, break stuff etc it would not be needed.

Ok but... where to get it??? xD

Mmm It seems it's only for vista right???

Of course it is for Vista. Why do you think they did it quietly?

XP doesn't need some stupid tool like this running in the background. Why do you think they did it quietly?

Sounds like the same major PITA as UAC?

Except I've had to reinstall XP about 3-5 times on one computer since I've owned it. I've owned Vista 1 1/2 years and except for upgrading a hard drive from 60 gb to 160 gb. Haven't had to reinstall once. (3-5 is tiny, I should have reinstalled about 2-3 years ago, but ordered my OEM copy of edirectsoftware and a bit worried about reinstalling it considering edirect wasn't legit even though Microsoft said it was when I emailed them about it.) do'h....

Well that's rational...

Care to explain your reasons so they can be debunked, or are you just one of those who enjoys riding along on that trusty bandwagon?

I fixed the English issues in his original statement.
Now... So what you are saying is you have an old PC thats incapable of running Vista. Can you tell what it is like being ignorant? I hear it's bliss.

since when has any windows tip or tutorial been helpful for fixing problems? I don't remember one case in more than 12 years I have been fiddling with PCs. so, I'll pass.

Seems like that all these programs to "keep your PC running smoothly" just make it run much worse.
