Funny, with this version I can no longer drag the video to my attached TV and watch the movies there. As soon as I maximise the Window, it always goes straight to my monitor. haven't found a way yet to fix this....

It was the same way with the previous release. I'm sticking with 0.9.6 until this issue is fixed.

Found a workaround from someone on the VLC forums for this:
http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=53580#p175797

Version 0.9.8a

Solution a:
1. Go to Tools->Preferences...->Interface
2. Deselect the option "Integrate video in interface"
3. Play your video
4. Then turn the window on second monitor and maximize with double-klick

Solution b:
Use 0.9.6

Solution c:
Wait until they fix it in 0.9.8b or higher

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the old interface in this version?

I am still stuck with 0.8.6b because I greatly prefer the old interface.

I've gone back to 0.8.x build as 0.9 just hangs all the time, ie the video playback will just freeze but the audio
will continue to play and sometimes the whole playback freezes... going back to 0.8 build and the same files play absolutely fine. so might look again when it get to 1.0... but for now the 0.9 is a no no

That's funny, on my system the .8 would always freeze my whole computer when i stopped a movie, closed the program, or anything having to do with stopping using it... (it would play fine)

but now, with .9, it's fixed again... and I didn't change anything, dunno what was causing it!
