RTM is only 78 / 100, not impressed.

Double-paste?

I'll check it out. I liked the public beta of the web browser, but it seemed to freeze up on my laptop when I had a number of tabs opened. Look forward to trying out this release. It is great to see the number of web browsers that are available these days compared to earlier this decade.

It's a nice browser but for some reason I just don't seem to be all that excited about it. Maybe it is a good choice for users with more basic needs but for me it's just too limited. I was expecting the final version to use native OS controls (text boxes, drop downs) but on Vista, form controls in Chrome look more like in XP. I don't know but for me small things and inconsistencies like that turn me off.

That's why I don't even like the default Firefox theme and always install the Glasser extension and use the GlasserExtras.zip package to make it look more like a native Vista app. What I don't get about Firefox too is that the Bookmarks manager for instance (and other modules) have more Vista-esque styling than the main browser window.

As i said in this post http://www.neowin.net/news/main/08/12/10/c...hind?cid=693910

"Google should let the user choose the install location, so it can be installed into [drive]:\Program Files\ or another partition/folder.
Also Google should not gather ANY information through the browser.

If it changes this things, il be a happy chrome user..."

There is also a Chrome Portable version (not from google) that shuts down the spyware in Chrome.

Google is evil.
The cool startup became a big fat shareholders driven company.
They do their decision now on the shareholder value...
An example? They simply switched Chrome from Beta... not cause it is ready for it, but cause the shareholders wan't to see numbers, and Dell won't include Beta versions on its computers...
So they deleted the Beta tag on a buggy Beta browser.
Also Google sends too many information to its servers and assigns a global unique id to each and every user... and transmits this id on each request.

(sorry for my bad english ^^)

Chrome actually beats Firefox when it comes to browsing speed, until Firefox 3.1 at least.

Nice, but no extensions is a deal breaker.

Is it just me or can you not push the mouse scroll in to have the scroll function like you normally do in IE and FF?

From the Google Chrome site:
"We're hard at work building versions for Mac and Linux too"

This browser has come such a long way since the initial betas. I've since replaced Firefox with it. Keep it up, Google! World domination is just a few more innovations away!
