If your computer is running a beta version of the Windows 7 operating system and have a Microsoft hardware product on your PC, then Microsoft have released beta releases of version 7.0 their IntelliType and IntelliPoint software for Microsoft Mouse & Keyboard hardware.

In addition to drivers for Mice & Keyboards, information and downloads are available for headsets, webcams, gaming products, presenter products and fingerprint readers for use against Windows 7 beta.

the best thing is the fact they have the drivers ready already in beta form! in the longhorn beta ms drivers for extended functionality like intellipoint and type seemed to take a long time to get

Yes, I was just about to say - this is a great sign that Microsoft - more broadly - is ready for the next version.

Does the finger print reader have 64 bit drivers for 7?

Does not have them for 64 bit vista.

Like the site says:

"No beta software is available. Fingerprint Reader is not supported on Windows 7."
