Eh? Do you want to be a bit clearer with that comment? It's reached version 1.0.0 - how is that confusing?

Sarcasm detector broken?

IntelliMoo probably means that VLC has been in development for such a ridiculously long time, it's strange to see it having finally reached the 1.0 milestone

Cool, thanks! At least it solved an issues I was having with RC4: 'vlc.exe' hanging on exit, resulting in a 50% cpu time. But all is cool now, great player imho.

Does it solve the pixellating video issue in Windows 7?
#4.1 jasondefaoite on 09 Jul 2009 - 14:26
Nope ... but if you select OpenGL as the video output, all is good...

Seems like a very heavy app for your CPU. Also it lags on big files.

MPC does a *much* better job.

Mine actually works on large files better with 1.0 than the previous versions. It's quick.

I don't like VLC anymore. I'm not entirely sure why but ever since I found SMPlayer, I find myself using that instead.

Was cool and all. But since it displays pixelated videos in Windows 7.. nah.

I don't use it anymore, have moved to The KMPlayer. Faster, better quality, much more user-friendly and just much better in general.

this version broke the audio when playing wmv files. i stopped using it too. it's a shame. it used to be so good pre-1.0. what happened?
#12 veegun on 27 Jul 2009 - 12:08
nevermind. i went back to version 0.9.9 and wmv works correctly again. the audio would stutter when playing wmv file in version 1.0.
