at the end of the day nothing beats the masterpiece of burning software which is 'ImgBurn' (www.imgburn.com) which just recently released v2.5.0.0 which seems to be one of the bigger releases of ImgBurn in a while as it finally added the ability to add your own custom folders and rename files/folders etc (Input > Advanced) and i also like the new feature where you can 'drag and drop' files into a small little square (View > Drop Zone) and it adds the files into the ImgBurn program. but basically that 'Input > Advanced' was my only real complaint about ImgBurn in the past. now the program is pretty much perfect for any general data burning.
for Audio i would probably recommend CDBurnerXP or maybe BurnAware FREE. (ill give the edge to CDBurnerXP purely because it dont attempt to install some crap like that 'ask toolbar' that BurnAware does when installing AND it don't appear you can adjust WRITE SPEED either with BurnAware so now i feel even more confident in recommending CDBurnerXP over BurnAware even though i like BurnAware's interface over CDBurnerXP...... EDIT: i just noticed you CAN make it ask you for write speed just prior to burning although it's secluded in the middle of no where under the 'OPTIONS > PREFERENCES'....... BOTH CDBurnerXP and BurnAware are not as good as ImgBurn in this dept for Sure but i guess there made for a 'add files and burn' sorta thing but as most experts know, burning CD's at full speed is not the best if QUALITY is your primary concern.)
p.s. i used to like 'Burrrn' alot but recently my sister was attempting to burn some mp3 files she got online and Burrrn could not convert them properly where as CDBurnerXP did which put a huge dent into my confidence on Burrrn... but that aside Burrrn is very hard to beat for general audio cd burning since it loads up super fast and is straight forward and simple.
