CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware!

What's new:
  • Added Taskbar Jump List cleaning for Windows 7.
  • Added history cleaning support for Opera 10.
  • Added icons to Cookie selection to show browser.
  • Improved scrolling in new results window.
  • Improved Avira Anti-virus cleaning.
  • Improved multiselect in listviews.
  • Improved 64-bit support when including/excluding files.
  • Improved 64-bit issue detection in Registry screen.
  • Updated internal icons.
  • Added language support for Armenian.
  • Fixed language bugs with new results window.
  • Fixed bug in Recycle Bin cleaning.
  • Fixed minor bug with help files in Registry Cleaner.
  • Fixed bug when deleting an application in Uninstall Tool.
  • Fixed bug when enabling/disabling in Startup Tool.
  • Minor GUI improvements.

I had a half dozen or so favourite urls pinned to Firefox and it wiped them out. Wasn't a big deal to put them back and disable jump list cleaning.

Does this app remove the temp and temp internet files from all profiles on the machine or just the profile its ran from? If it's only from the profile its ran from they should really let the user choose to remove them from every profile.

It just removes the temp files for the profile that it is currently being run in.

does it still mess up firefox's built-in history cleaning? in build 968 whenever i clean firefox history/cookies etc, CCleaner screws up the built-in firefox function. I could no longer delete individual items from history in the Address bar drop-down list, and all the websites i browse in Private Browsing remains in Firefox's History even though I cleaned with CCleaner AND the firefox's built-in function. Had to reinstall Firefox many times before i realized it's CCleaner messing things up. :s

Been waiting for them to bring Jump List cleaning but it also removes Pinned Items, which I want to keep, hence why I pinned them!!

What do I need to uncheck to stop it from removing my pinned items?

Using CCleaner in Windows 7 may make you lose the ‘Turn On BitLocker' context menu item !
