On December 2, 2009, Object Desktop and Object Desktop Ultimate will be merged into Object Desktop. Users with Object Desktop Ultimate will get a full year added to their account (so now is the ideal time to pick up Object Desktop Ultimate).

That depends on wheather Object Desktop 2010 is going to cost the same as the Ultimate or Standard edition.

I don't know about all these UI modification programs. Anytime you start messing around with the Windows UI something nasty happens. These 3rd party "enhancing" programs are trouble, especially since MS has no control over them. Leave Windows the way it is. It looks just fine, especially 7.

The difference with Windowblinds is that even Microsoft uses it in many demos. It is designed in cooperation with Microsoft. That is why it is typically very stable on most systems that have the hardware to support it.

If I followed your lead then technology would never evolve and I'd always have to look at the same bar. I've been using the 7 bar since it first appear (hidden) in alpha/beta. I've grown tired of how big it is. Thus if I want to change it, I will.

I can't help other people are so far behind.

I don't want it looking fine, I want it looking better.

It is true that Win7 looks pretty grand, but don't diss it unless you try it. Plus Windowblinds for one can even change Aero far more than Windows itself, and that's barely changing anything.
However if you like it the way it is, that's fine. I know though I have used many of stardock's programs through the years and have had almost no issues. Sure there have been some, nearly all software does, nothing catastrophic by any means.

Will it make my machine as unstable as it did back on XP?

edit: but aside from the snark, it looks impressive.

No, it's been less processor/memory intensive since version 5 or 6? I noticed no issues and I have version 6 and 7 beta.

Wb has been nothing but a pure joy since v5. It has progressively got better. Current builds are stable, light and fast. Hopefully, the new build will maintain the tradition.

Yes, yes, shout it from the rooftops, it doesn't make you sound crazy at all...

Also, I don't think TuneUp Utilities 2010 has this features.

I received an email from Stardock yesterday or it may have been the day before? Looking forwards to the release, and other updates to additional software used with Object Desktop 2010.

Been using Windowblinds sense it first release, and other then WB4 there has been really no problems. Like the way WB 7 has the ability to change just about anything you might want in the GUI look, whether using XP, Vista, or Win 7.
