Shame the bookmarks still look like Netscape 4 though.
Seamonkey does not only look old but none of the tools in it are especially good either. The mail client is average, Composer is a joke, having an IRC client built into the browser doesn't make a lot of sense, and the 'advanced features' are in Firefox and most are standard to all browsers.
they didn't design it, they just took it from the discontinued Mozilla Suite, itself based on and made to look like the classic Netscape
i don't mind it, and i feel right at home using it's HTML editor
I guess my point was that netscape didnt look good then, and it still doesnt look good now lol

GUI = obsolete, definitely needs updating. Not for Vista or 7 users who like "pretty" desktop themes + gadgets;
features + security = same as Firefox, uses same Gecko code, that's why Seamonkey was just updated to include Firefox 3.5.4 security updates;
add-ons = supports most skins + add-ons/extensions Firefox does [+ very few minor differences to match Seamonkey code: http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/ ], again, based on same Gecko code;
e-mail app = based on Thunderbird code;
purpose = business, enterprise, server, network, must be tested and be reliable in critical environments.

Half the problem with the world today is no one can think on their own anymore. Seamonky isn't popular because of it looks? How stupid!! If that's your only complaint, you obviously don't know much about browsers, IMO, and are just content go with the flow of what every one else does, says and thinks.
Firefox is only as popular as it is because of this exact issue. One person says how cool it is and everybody else thinks so too. Personally, I think Firefox is ugly as **** and even worse at browsing.
I'll use, and do use, Seamonky everyday as my main browser. Blows the hell out of Firefox anyday!!
