Sony warns of fake spam scam

SonyStyle customers should not respond to fraudulent request for personal info. Sony has warned consumers to beware of fake spam email bearing the subject title 'SonyStyle user and email address'. The electronics giant said yesterday that this spam email, which claims to come from 'SonyStyle Customer Service', and requests personal information, including user name, password and email address, is fraudulent.

"This message is not from or any other Sony website or entity," said Mike Fasulo, president of Sony Electronics' e-Solutions company."The privacy of our customers' personal information is a top priority and we have been working with the appropriate authorities to quickly contain and resolve the situation."
