Splinter Cell Breaks U.K. Sales Records

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell for the Xbox is the fastest selling game for Microsoft's console in the United Kingdom. In this launch week 40,000 copies of the game were sold. Due to this achievement, record holder Halo is cast out of the number one slot. A bundle deal that includes Splinter Cell has boosted sales of the Xbox as well.

Very cool. This sold a load of Xboxs as well because they had an amazing offer of Xbox, JSRF, SegaGT, Halo and Splinter Cell for £180 :O :O :O :O

That's insanely cheap. They just need to reduce the price of games now, £45 :hurt: we've had the mini hardware price war, I want the same for software.

That ain't gonna happen, thats how they make ALL the money they lost from selling the consoles sooo cheap but we can always hope :D

It happened before, there's nothing to stop it happening again.

Playstation at it's peak reduced new releases to £29.99 and this is the proposed price point for the Fairplay campaign going on in the UK.
