Spore reported to be playable at Leipzig Games Convention!

Will Wright's upcoming - genre bender Spore which was totally absent from E3 this year is reportedly going to be shown behind closed doors at the Leipzig Games Convention in Germany sometime during August 23 - 26.

Not much else is know at this point. We don't know the status of the game, how far along it is, what will be shown exactly, nada. But, hey rumors are fun to report on, aren't they? I think so. But apparently the game is far enough along that according to the rumor, the game will be playable to reporters at the convention. So there you go. Hopefully during the convention some shaky cam (or direct feed) video of the game will surface so we can see Will Wright's next masterpiece in action.

Spore is still scheduled for a Summer or Fall 2008 release. And yes, Spore has been in development for seven (7) years. Take that Duke Nukem Forever! Or not.
