S.T.A.L.K.E.R. to get new expansion, new sequel

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series has so far seen two editions, featuring a post apocalyptic landscape in which many people are trying to survive day to day life. Unfortunately, the most recent installment was received poorly, due to lack of polish, so perhaps this news might indicate that the game developers are trying to prove they can get it right.

Shacknews is reporting that a Russian website had revealed some interesting tidbits about the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, that being that a second expansion is coming, as well as that a full blown sequel is in the works too. There's no details on names, or in fact, anything just yet, but we're sure some facts and figures won't be too far away.

This is good news for the fans of the series, and hopefully the third iteration will bring a lot more polish and work to it, as there's currently a lot of untapped potential. Thoughts?

Clear Sky was a downer. I hope they'll get their act together and ship these new games without an awful lot of bugs.

Great news, can't wait, I loved SOC and really liked Stalker CS (Although the ending and team aspects of it sucked IMO)...

See I liked the ending of CS, but the game was (like SOC before it) released without seemingly any testing done beforehand.

I still recommend to everyone that they install the Oblivion Lost mod for SOC if they really want to play the game as it was intended, the mod improved the game infinitely.
