Steve Jobs indie biopic to film in Apple's start up garage

Even though there are reports that Ashton Kutcher has already begun filming the indie film, Jobs: Get Inspired, a new press release from the makers of the upcoming movie claim that principal photography will actually start in June. While the film won't have any direct input from Apple, the production company has secured the rights to film in an important real life location in the late Steve Jobs' life.

That would be the childhood home of Jobs in Los Altos, California. The home's garage was the place where Jobs and Apple's other co-founder, Steve Wozniak, actually started Apple back in the mid-1970s. As we revealed in our recent interview with the movie's producer Mark Hulme of Five Star Institute, the film will tell the story of Jobs' life from the early formations of Apple until the year 2000, before the launch of the iPod, iPhone and iPad products.

While Jobs: Get Inspired is not scheduled to be released to theaters until the end of 2012, the movie's official web site is now up and running. As one might expect, it's a pretty bare bones affair at this moment, but the logo for the movie shows that the film makers will be spelling the name of the movie as jOBS, as a nod to Apple's well known branding.

They already did this movie:Pirates of Silicon Valley. And it was done well. They made him the douche bag that he was and Gates the evil genius. And Ballmer just Ballmer. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0168122/

Really I thinking that is opposite Steve Job's is the evil genius and Gates is the douche bag and Ballmer plain Ballmer, ruining the company.

And you would be wrong here.

After seeing that image I'm surprised he didn't just call in the jPod.

Mind to my understanding the i has been claimed to refer to "I" (Steve Jobs referring to himself, along with calling himself iCEO.

Maybe BOB stands for "Bill or Bill"

Only Steve has the authority to refer to himself in the Apple person, "i." Others must find another way. In this case, they used "j."

I hope they show what a sociopathic tyrant he was but I have a bad feeling this movie is going to end up being a "Steve Jobs was a misunderstood genius and a hero, let's worship him" wankfest for Apple fans.

Hey clueless what do you think his biography did?

All of us who read his book regardless apple fans or not. We ALL KNOW HE WAS AN *******. But he was a mother ****ing genius and he knew what he was doing with tech.

Everytime I read a bill gates bio it's a piece of ****. Paul Allen was the true microsoft "og" IMO.

Regardless I've had customers come up and say "I've read that steve jobs book and the man was a real tyrant/ hardass / ******* but boy/Jesus he was a genius".

So quit drinking that haterade and open your eyes.

I dunno, his biography was pretty brutally honest...I'm hoping the film will be more of the same. However, considering movies rarely follow the truth it will probably will end up making Jobs look like the messiah which would be a shame...

This is why I don't like Apple fans, they fly into a smug nerd rage too easily. It doesn't matter what is in the book, this is the movie. Since when do movies follow the book they are based on? Anyway I didn't say the movie would be a Steve Jobs worship film, I said I HOPE it isn't.

Also while he was very good at business and marketing, he was most certainly not a genius.

He was also a screaming, blubbering Man-child who would scream and insult you in your face if he didn't like your idea, treated pretty much every other Human being around him like Garbage, and would burst into tears and have a child-like tantrum if he couldn't get his own way.

You obviously have an unbiased opinion of Jobs. I like where you're coming from. <sarcasm />

Jobs was an exceptionally gifted SALESMAN. Any other accolade for him would be completely inaccurate.

Hopefully this film will inspired more ppl to buy Apple Products including computers so Apple can grow bigger and maybe even be the # 1 Platform in the future.

LOL. 1 Movie is going to push Mac from 6% Market share to dominate Windows?

The movie will certainly get a lot of help from Windows 8 towards that goal.

The thing is, Windows 7 isn't going anywhere.

No.

Just like Windows 3.1 didn't go anywhere...

People, stop being shortsighted, XP for example won't have support after 2014, whilst 13 years of support is impressive, it's stupid to say that it will be around forever.
When the sales and support fade away, there is W8 and whatever came after that.
Microsoft might learn and make W9 a compromise and hence bearable, but that still means another OS, not W7.
