Still want to pre-order an Xbox One? Amazon has you covered tomorrow

If the Xbox One hype ahead of the launch on Friday has you bummed you didn't pre-order a console many months ago, Amazon has you covered. According to an email sent out to those who wanted to be notified of Xbox One console availability, the company will re-open pre-orders tomorrow.

The email says there is a limited supply of the console and that pre-order will start at 8 a.m. ET on November 20th. While it’s not explicitly clear that these pre-orders will arrive on Friday, the information that is presented does make it appear that these consoles will be delivered on launch day.

This is certainly a last minute pre-order for the console and seeing that Amazon now has more in stock, leads us to believe that Microsoft was able to produce more consoles than they originally anticipated. Traditionally, retailers are allotted a specific quantity of consoles months in advance of a launch and seeing that the pre-orders are opening up so close to launch, makes it appear Microsoft exceeded their production quotas and are stuffing the channels.

This will certainly be good news to those of you who waited until the last minute to purchase your Xbox One or for parents who are trying to find a console to stuff under the tree. Whatever your reason, this will likely be your last chance to pre-order a console before launch.

I had a bunch of trouble ordering it, but finally tried one click and that worked. It says I am going to receive it next week (the 26th), which is not what the product listing said, so after a support call with Amazon, they will be calling me back with an answer soon.

Mine just shipped, not sure why yours would say the 26th.

Got one for my friend here. Site was dragging right at 7am central bad but around 7:02 it loaded and one-click ordered the sucker. Says due Friday!!! At 7:24am it says they are gone now. Wonder how many they had.

I managed to order one after amazon.com was struggling to get orders from 8:00am to 8:07am. By 8:09am they were sold out. For anybody who thinks the xbox one isn't a huge hit, think when was the last time amazon had trouble checking out orders.

The Italy Amazon is still taking Day One orders with FIFA 14 with a shipping date of 27/28 November. I ordered mine there 2 days ago. (FYI: I'm from Netherlands.)

Apparently Microsoft designed the Xbox One to be so reliable it can be on for 10 years straight. I hope this is true, I had 4 360s RROD on me, yes they were replaced, but it was really annoying. The only console manufacture that has ever been that reliable is Nintendo, I still have all of my original Nintendo consoles, never had to replace any. I don't even want to go into how many PS1 & 2s I had to replace(or repair) due to CD/DVD drive failures.

Nothing wrong that I can think of. I still own all my old games, little to no scratches. Sure we probably played them more than we should have, but still not enough to kill the diode. I still remember having to put my PS1(pre-dualshock) upside down for it to read my disks. I also remember that the PS2 had an issue with the early models, probably due to the fact that the DVD medium was still very new. Ah, the good ol' days.
