Stylish new Nokia Windows Phone shows up in promo

There is hope for you if you don’t fancy the recently released Nokia Lumia 800 or Lumia 710, as an unannounced Nokia phone running Windows Phone has popped up in a promo video. There is no word at all as to whether this device is just a concept or whether it’s going to be made, but the guys over at MyNokiaBlog have mentioned it looks like (sort of, although much better than) the existing Nokia 700 phone with the speaker grill and all.

If you take a look at the above video you’ll see the rendering features some form of capacitive buttons along with nice blue, colourful Nokia styling. There is a possibility it features a 4-inch display considering the size, and it could be the rumoured Nokia Ace or Nokia Lumia 900, but this is all speculation as we genuinely have no other information about the device other than the render.

I do agree with the video though: the device shown does have stunning Nokia hardware and I really hope that it turns out to be a higher-end Windows Phone than the Lumia 800. Perhaps next year we’ll see this device in action? Who knows…

I still dont see a Front Facing cam Looks like Nokia wont be getting my purchases any time soon at this rate...

They need a 4.3" phone (or even 4") with all the mango goodness

How weird. It wasn't private not that long ago... In any event, you really aren't missing a whole lot. It shows the same image of the phone as above floating around with some text that's directed towards developers...

This looks like a nice phone. I'm definitely curious to see what all Nokia comes out with. I am hoping for some slide out keyboards though.

Looks small to me, only 4 live tiles on the screen compared with 4.5 for the lumia.

They all have the same amount of live tiles viewable on the screen.

That's probably a flaw in the render, because correct me if I'm wrong, but I think all WP devices have the same resolution, so the same number of tiles should show regardless of screen size?

they do that on the renders for some reason.. I think it looks odd to have the bottom tile sticking in a bit.. but it feels natural on the actual phone

Well, if it will be a 4/4.3 " device I am interested in it. personally I do not care much for front camera but..... i agree that it is something new phones are expected to have.
Let us see if it is true and, more important, how long it takes to hit retail channels.

This promo is about the devs, not necessarily the phone. I wouldn't read too much into the wording of the ad for clues as to what the phone in the ad supports or doesn't.

I might be a bit simple here, but why are ALL phones these days "candybar"? Part of Nokia's charm, I always thought, was the range of form factors they had. I know people that still swear their favourite phone was that Nokia with the fold-out keyboard. I know that when you lay modern phones side by side, they certainly don't LOOK identical, but aside from a few curves and such, they all more or less look the same to me.

A slide out keyboard would be nice in some of these devices for sure. It's being rumored that as part of Tango different screen resolutions will be supported as well, such as blackberry style devices...

I think it's fake. The phone is no 3D render and the tiles are not live..

Fake? This is produced by NOKIA. I think you mean concept at the minimum. This isn't "fake".

Renders are commonly used in advertising and promotion anymore. In fact, it's rather unusual for them to use images of the actual devices...

Produced by NOKIA, and edited by someone.

Aye, pretty difficult to do many of the normal ad effects on real devices (like the on-end swivel, and stuff moving around on screen).

And how does that work out?

Also, the ad is authentic, not spin-off or fan made.

I can't get excited about this really.

Knowing Nokia are just another phone hardware creator and the OS is reliant on Microsoft, just seems meh.

He's either excited about the Apple hardware that is reliant on Apple's OS, or he's reliant on "just another phone hardware creator" and an OS that is reliant on Google.

Clearly a thinker.

From the one bit "This is your playground" I think it would be possible to speculate that this is a world phone.
