Too bad the update links don't work, so this software is useless.

Well... it should be enough to know that there is a new version. You should actually be able to find out where to get it yourself?

No. It's called "update monitor", so it monitors your programs for updates. Nothing more. Right?

Then my original thought stands: this software is useless.

Is it possible to have the program automatically scan for INSTALLED programs (not just All EXE's in a specified directory) ?

Different people have different needs. Not everyone wants a program to update their software for them. Some people just want a heads-up when new versions are released, so they can check them out. Other people like to install software themselves to make sure the right options are selected, etc.

Please don't bitch and flame someone else's project, especially freeware developers who aren't asking for anything in return. Many people appreciate the efforts of these developers, even if they don't use the software themselves.

In summary: Please don't be a prick.
