T-Mobile USA to start selling iPhone?

According to the Engadget, Financial Times is reporting an interesting statement from Deutsche Telekom's CEO. It seems that T-Mobile USA expects to carry the iPhone with the next two years. Here are the CEO's exact words with regards to the iPhone:

"T-Mobile USA is hoping to start selling the popular smartphone later this year or next year."

It doesn't get much clearer than that. He also goes on to say that, in the meantime, Android is the company's primary focus. Engadget's Chris Ziegler brings up a very good point. CEOs are always expressing their willingness to house Apple's gem on their network. This could just end up being a case of over-excited CEO syndrome.

The above statement isn't exactly concrete evidence of the iPhone's T-Mobile coming, but never-the-less, it's sure to get people's attention. We'll just have to wait and see what happens over the next year and a half.
