Team Fortress 2 characters to appear in PC version of Sonic racing game

We love it when games cross over with each other and today word got out that the PC version of Sega's latest Sonic racing game will feature a very nice cross over with Valve's Team Fortress 2.

Sega's blog confirms that that the Pyro, Heavy, and Spy from Valve's hit shooter will be playable characters in the PC port of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. In addition, Sega is throwing in two more exclusive characters from its own PC franchises. One is the Shogun from the Total War series. The other is the "Manager Man" from the Football manager series.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will be released via download on Valve's Steam service (natch) on January 31st for $29.99. You can pre-order the game now on Steam and save 10 percent off its normal price. The full game has over 20 characters from various Sega series as they race in their kart-like vehicles on 25 tracks. The trailer above shows some of the vehicles that the exclusive PC characters drive. It looks like "Manager Man" can turn into a soccer ball.

The game supports a number of game modes, including World Tour, Grand Prix, and Battle Arena. It support up to four players on split screen or up to 10 players online
