Team Fortress 2 team up with Adult Swim teased

We have seen Valve use its free-to-play shooter Team Fortress 2 as a way to promote other games. Most of the time, this consists of free and exclusive Team Fortress 2 headwear and items when you purchase certain other games. Now it looks like TF2 is about to launch a promotional effort with a whole cable TV network.

The Adult Swim website has created a new promotional page teasing us with an image of the Team Fortress 2 characters. The page itself says, "To learn how their video game peanut butter will be getting in our network’s chocolate, come back next week." It also offers up a way to sign up for a newsletter which presumably will be used to reveal the Adult Swim-TF2 team up.

Adult Swim is the late night section of the Cartoon Network and features animated shows such as Robot Chicken and Squidbillies and live action shows such as Children's Hospital and Eagleheart.

Recently there's been some unusual activity in Team Fortress 2 with some updates that have added a number of items to the game that are, at the moment, unusable. Some have suggested that Valve is currently running some king of ARG in preparation for a major update to the game.
