The revolution is upon us in the Assassin's Creed III reveal trailer

For many, Assassin's Creed is one of the greatest game franchises of our generation. The cleverly reconstructed chapters throughout history keep us intrigued by allowing us to explore the environment and the visuals match the standard appropriately.

We have just recieved the word that Assassin's Creed III's reveal trailer has been officially announced and the video confirms the game being set in the US revolution like the screenshots previously suggested

Assassin's Creed: Revelations was the last game to be released in the franchise and whilst some people enjoyed it; others expected more in terms of the story. Revelations was the last game to feature Ezio Auditoré Da Firenzé which means that in Assassin's Creed III, we'll definitely play as a new protoganist. Little is known about the structure and whether the story for Assassin's Creed III will extend into more games like the second game did. However we do know that the game looks beautiful but you can probably tell that from the video below, right? Once we learn more about this title, we'll keep you posted.

I hope they really tweak the free running for going through the treetops (assuming you can based on the video), I can't see the current iteration in the latest AC working well for many close together objects like tree branches, it's bad enough chasing someone on rooftops and your character doing the wrong thing at the wrong time, treetops are going to make that 10x worse.

Yeah, I've kind of lost interest in Ubisoft. The last Assassins game I played just seemed very eh... And this change in time, though neat doesn't seem to make any sense to me...

To me your username said it all.

In the Ezio trilogy, there were three games in three years, with very little to tell them apart. I've lost interest in the series now.

least there not coming out like halo and CoD games.

With one every year, it's just like CoD. Halo 3 came out 2007, ODST 2009, so it's not so bad.

Halo games have always had a longer release cycle than both of these series.

Let's not forget that Ubisoft, has many, many different studios. This game has been in production for 3 years now. So/And unlike CoD, there is a lot more depth to the AC series. They have shown, that they can pump out a quality game every year, and it not ruin the franchise. I've yet to see another company able to do this.

I for one, cannot wait!

Many people seem to be overlooking this fact and I think it's fairly important as it shows there's a decent time commitment to this unlike some of the previous ones. I've only played the second one the whole way through but I'm really looking forward to this one now.

Well I am under the impression that the whole AC story hinges upon the year 2012. So they have to pump out the storyline before end of year.

Halo went-> 2001, 2004, 2007, 2009, 2010. That's hardly as bad as a game a year like most of the games these days.. Also Halo actually innovates on console.
