The Windows Store is down for many Windows 10 users around the world [Update]

If you were hoping to get something from the Windows Store today, you may be out of luck, as there are widespread reports from users in many parts of the world who say they're unable to access it.

While the web version of the Store appears to be working for most people, the Store app in Windows 10 - which is still needed to be able to install apps - fails to load properly, throwing up an error code and a prompt to refresh the page - which doesn't help. According to social media posts these troubles started as early as yesterday evening, and have only spread to more users since.

The error code points to this page on Microsoft's support site, but the workaround offered there doesn't appear to fix the problem.

Despite some reports that the Windows Store is down for everyone, that doesn't seem to be the case. Neowin editor Christopher White, for example, has still been able to access content across the Store today - but that's not the case for many others on our team, and many more across social media.

Have you been having problems accessing the Windows Store today? Or is it all working as normal for you? Let us know in the comments below, including which part of the world you're from.

Update: The Store now appears to be coming back online for some users - but some are reporting that it's running a bit slow at the moment.
