Time for a break: No new Windows 10 Insider Previews for a few days

Microsoft released its latest Windows 10 Insider Preview, build 14379, to PCs and phones in the Fast ring today, bringing a range of improvements and fixes for both sets of devices.

As the August 2 release of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update grows ever nearer, Microsoft has been pushing new preview builds out a relentless place - but now, it's time for a brief pause in proceedings.

Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows Insider Program, said today that the team is taking some time out to enjoy the long weekend leading up to Independence Day on July 4. That means you shouldn't be expecting any new builds to arrive until Tuesday, July 5 at the earliest.

Recent builds have focused on refining the OS before the Anniversary Update begins rolling out in just over a month's time, and it's unlikely that any further new features will be added before its release.
