It's been eight months since Microsoft unveiled the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4, and five months since the range-topping models with 1TB of storage went on sale in the US and Canada.
Now, Microsoft has opened pre-orders for those models in the UK. The Surface Pro 4 tablet with Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD is priced at £2,199. The equivalent Surface Book version, which also sports a discrete GPU, will set you back £2,649.
Microsoft is offering a free Maroo Leather Sleeve worth £44.95 with the new 1TB Surface Book. Those pre-ordering the 1TB Surface Pro 4 will get a £45 store voucher instead. Those offers will remain available until June 30 or "while supplies last"; the small print on the Microsoft Store site notes that only the first 250 pre-orders will qualify for the freebies.
Microsoft says that both devices will be released in the UK on June 30.
