Undo send email in Gmail

Many times we forget to add attachments, notice a spelling mistake or forgot to add something in the email. New in Google Labs is an add-on to your account that can undo the email you just sent, with a limit of five seconds, allowing you to go back and re-edit the email you previously just sent.

Once the add-on is enabled under your Gmail settings, Labs and Undo Send, users will be promoted with an "Undo" button after sending an email, giving them just enough time to prevent regrettable emails. If users opt to undo the email they had just sent, they will be taken back to the email where edits can be made.

The tool works by adding a five second delay into the sending email process, giving the user time to prevent the email from going out. The email will automatically be stored as a draft if the user opts to undo the sending process, giving them a chance to alter their email. If the user closes the browser after the email was initially sent, during the five second delay, the email will still be sent to the recipient.
