Via K8T900 Pro has two PCI Express slots

VIA WON'T LET THE K8 market go, at least not without a fight. As Nvidia has its Nforce 4 Dual PCI Express chipset ready, Via had to do something about it. That's how the Via DualGFX Express chipset was born. This chipset used to be known as K8T900PRO but Via decided to go for a sexier commercial name.

You will see an Athlon 64/FX/Opteron chipset that supports two PCI Express graphic lanes. The first one operates at 16X speed while the second runs at 4X speed, identical to Intel's Tumwater chipset. 4X from the second PCI Express slot should be fine to run SLI like functions. This chipset will use a 1GHz Hyper Transport bus and will work with all existing sockets including 754, 939 and 940.
