Crysis 2 debuts in Times Square

The first public video of the highly anticipated first-person shooter Crysis 2 premiered at Times Square in New York City on Wednesday. The video was watched by hundreds of spectators who were gathered at the world-famous locale.

Unlike the game’s predecessor, Crysis 2 will be released for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in addition to the PC. Nathan Camarillo, Crytek Executive Producer, has said that the graphics for Crysis 2 will be "the best you've ever seen".

"We're aiming to set the graphical benchmark," said Camarillo. "Why would anyone not want to play a game with the best graphics they have ever seen, great gameplay, some engaging fiction, challenging AI, killer weaponry and a complete gaming experience like no other?"

Few details about the title have been announced, aside from the fact that the game will look absolutely photorealistic, and will feature an updated version of the Nanosuit. The game has been confirmed to run on Crytek's CryEngine 3, first introduced at the at the 2009 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.
