Video Preview: Nokia Lumia Icon

Verizon’s latest Windows Phone, the Lumia Icon, is now out on store shelves and we have put together a quick video of the new device. While this feature supplements our full review, coming soon, it does give us a better look at the new device.

The device features a 5in display, 2 GBs of RAM and a Snapdragon 800 CPU; standard affair as far as Windows Phone goes but it does consistently offer up a great end user experience.

Our full review will be out in the next couple of days and if you have any questions about the device, you can post them below or send me a message on twitter.

I'm dropping my Android and going with a Windows phone. I have Verizon and would like to see a review before I go get one.

I have overheard old people do a better review at BestBuy by picking up the phone and reading the tag on the display.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and wait for the full review.

Less of a Review, more of a "Preview". Will reserve further judgement until the full review is out. Would have gone into it thinking a bit more positively if this was titled something like "Sneak Peek". But I guess if you were summarizing up the overall quality of the phone, that was done pretty well for just 1 minute. Looking forward to more, hopefully lots more, in the full review.

Been running the Lumia 928 since launch and I have enjoyed it. Its nice to see they are bringing more Lumia Devices to Verizon, however, its sad that Verizon is making them dumb down the devices and keep them black and white with a less sharp design on them compared to their offerings elsewhere.

Not to mention the incredible bias of this interview. He uses the LG to rebut almost everything good that the Lumia offers, yet fails to mention things the LG can't compete with -- like the superior audio recording, DNG support, super-sensitive touch, and, the list goes on...

LG was never mentioned in the article or the review video....What the crap are you talking about?

Did you click one of the related videos? Because this was a pretty positive review and mentioned nothing about LG...

Man, I totally goofed. I thought I was commenting on a Phone Arena video comparison. Must have had my tabs mixed up. Sorry!

A 1080p 5" display, Snapdragon 800, and 20MP camera are not standard affair for a Windows Phone.

Also please install some apps and log into your accounts before the actual review. If you review the phone with the stock demo unit configuration it is a calling card that you didn't actually use the phone seriously. I've seen way too many of these "reviews" where the blogger swipes his finger up and down the start screen, opens IE and zooms in and out a web page fast, then checks the app store to see if it has apps and calls it a review.

And finally why not title this "hands-on" or "preview." When you call something a review people expect the actual review.
